Ladder Capital Shares Slide to 52-Week Low as Earnings Concerns Weigh on Stock

Shares of Ladder Capital Corp. fell to a new 52-week low of $9.43, reflecting continued pressure on the commercial real estate finance company amid a challenging market environment.

The stock has declined 13.65% over the past year and is now trading about 21% below its 52-week high of $11.92. Despite the weakness in the share price, the company continues to offer an attractive dividend yield of 9.54%, providing some support for income-focused investors.

Investor sentiment has also been affected by softer earnings expectations, with five analysts lowering their earnings forecasts for the upcoming reporting period. Some market analysts believe these revisions have contributed to the recent selling pressure.

In its latest quarterly results, Ladder Capital reported second-quarter 2026 revenue of $57.76 million, exceeding analysts' expectations of $56.5 million. However, earnings per share came in at $0.12, missing the consensus estimate of $0.24, despite the company maintaining solid liquidity and a healthy balance sheet.

Meanwhile, BofA Securities lowered its price target on the stock to $10.25 from $11.25, while reiterating a Neutral rating. The firm noted that distributable earnings continue to improve and the company's credit quality remains resilient despite ongoing market challenges.
