Market Movers: Energy Rally, Storage Merger, and Analyst Upgrades Propel Stocks
Energy shares surged after OPEC announced a production cut, prompting analysts to warn that oil could reach $100 a barrel. Marathon Oil leapt more than 7%, while Halliburton, APA and Occidental Petroleum each rose over 6%.

Solar‑energy player Sunnova Energy climbed more than 5% after Morgan Stanley gave it an overweight rating and noted the stock could more than double. Sunnova has fallen 13.3% in 2023.
Construction materials maker Vulcan Materials may see a lift after Goldman Sachs upgraded it to buy from neutral, citing a better year ahead as inflation cools.
WWE shares dropped 6% on news that Endeavor’s UFC will spin off and merge with WWE in a $21 billion deal.
Retailer Macy’s rose 3.8% after JPMorgan upgraded it to overweight from neutral, raising its price target and projecting low‑double‑digit EBITDA margins over multiple years. The retailer has declined about 13.1% this year.
Real‑estate investment trust SL Green Realty gained more than 3% pre‑market after BMO upgraded it to outperform, noting the REIT is heavily shorted and undervalued.
Tesla shares fell 3.1% after reporting 422,875 vehicles delivered in Q1 2023, below the FactSet‑surveyed estimate of 432,000.
